Hamdid García Verdecia
Ricardo Lorenzo Méndez Valdés

Abstract

Digitizing an institution, body or company requires, above all, an investment effort in ICT infrastructures and resources. However, digital transformation requires equipping workers with the skills and knowledge they need for a very different future. In this new technological paradigm, digital transformation is essential and implicitly entails a change in the organizational model. The paper presents a digital transformation strategy that allows responding to the demand for “[...] the Computerization of Cuban Society is defined as the process of orderly and massive use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to satisfy the information and knowledge needs of all people and spheres of society”. The strategy is based on objectives, principles, requirements, technological requirements, stages or phases and actions.
