Abstract
Fire protection on an industrial scale is an important aspect to consider for the stable functioning of a country's economy, because with its adequate and effective implementation, it contributes to the preservation of the people involved in the processes, as well as the assets and resources invested in facilities for industrial purposes. This work presents a group of executive solutions for the Rehabilitation of the Water and Foam Fire Extinguishing Systems of the Fuel Base of the “José Martí” International Airport. In order to achieve an effective performance of the aforementioned systems in the event of a fire, their design was reviewed and updated, taking as a basis the current national and international regulations that govern protection against fires in Storage Bases for Flammable Liquids and Fuels.
