Set of solutions to mechanically complete the installation of fire safety systems

Abstract
The installation of fre safety systems is a consequence of detailed engineering activity, which provides a deviation of 5% between what is conceived and what is desired. This percentage includes everything that could not be estimated, the adjustments “tailored” of the architecture and site where it is installed, and the dimensional adjustments between with the design and the procured product. In the same way, it is not always possible to acquire the minor parts that complement the main equipment of these systems. Then, this work presents a group of mechanical solutions to complete the Lightning Protection Systems and Exterior Firefghting Water System. Therefore, a group of parts was mechanically designed that, based on innovation and observation, are adapted to the requirements of these systems.
In all cases recovered material was
used. As a main result, fve solutions or designs proved in situ are
discussed in the article.
