Investigation of Anomalies During the Cutting and Grooving of ALFICSA Firefighting Water System Piping
##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.main##
Abstract
The piping is important part of the Water-Based Firefighting Systems. There are some types of piping joints, standing out between them of Shourjoint one for its high efficiency during the installation. Hence this type of joint was selected for the Project of ALFICSA alcohol distillation plant. Dedicated research was necessary due to the progress during the Project implementation was lowly and the failure of the machinery for elaboration of pipe joint. Such research involves the following factors: cut parameters, workers skills and experience, and pipes metallurgy. So, the significant difference among the ASTM A795 project specified pipe and the supplied pipe was demonstrated.
